Meet The Instructor

Evan Grahek
I have been teaching for 13 years in Los Angeles and Knoxville and maintain an active teaching studio. I love working with students and families, and love seeing students realize their musical potential. I believe music is huge part of the human experience and giving that to people, even in a small way, is what I believe to be the most important part of why I do what I do!
I started playing the piano at the age of twelve. I developed a passion for performing, and by seventeen I was performing some of the most difficult repertoire written for the piano. I participated in master classes taught by Dr. Sam Rotman, Dr. Robert Ward, Professor Adam Wibrowski, president of the European Chopin Society, and Dr. Robert Lehrbaumer. I won First Place in the 2013 and 2015 CAPMT Piano Sonata Competition in Los Angeles and placed in several other competitions in California. I have also performed in many international festivals and venues in many countries including Musical Bridges in St. Petersburg, Russia; Concerto Fest Europa in Austria and Slovokia, and several tours in Albania, Croatia, Israel, Italy, Canada, and many states in the U.S, including Carnegie Hall in NYC in 2019. I currently am the residing organist and pianist at Second United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
